Scuba Fabric
Scuba is a double-knit fabric made of very fine yarn. Scuba fabric has a very smooth surface. It is a sturdy, shape-retaining fabric.
What is scuba crepe fabric?
There are different types of scuba fabric. Most of Knipidee's scuba fabrics are so-called scuba crepe fabrics. Scuba crepe is a thicker jersey quality, made of polyester and a small percentage of elastane. The surface of this scuba variant is textured. It has a grainy crepe structure. Scuba crepe is more flexible and lighter than regular scuba.
Why scuba crepe?
Scuba crepe is a knit with stretch. The addition of elastane makes this fabric even more elastic. The fabric has a nice and supple drape and hardly creases. This material is flattering to wear for all kinds of body types. It is suitable for making a skirt, dress, jacket or for a sporty item such as leggings. The stretch fabric is versatile and comfortable: it can be worn in any season.
