Polyester Fabric
Polyester is a synthetic fiber derived from oil. There are several polyester fibers, of which polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is the most common. Polyester is the umbrella term for all different types of textile that are made from one of the polyester fibres. Polyester is the most commonly used type of textile worldwide.
Why polyester?
The artificial fiber is wrinkle-free, lightweight and retains its shape. The fabric hardly creases. Polyester is fade resistent, making it an ideal fabric for prints. Colors are bright and UV-resistant. Colors and prints stay intact after intensive wear, washing and ironing. Polyester is very versatile and offers a range of different types of materials. Polyester can be made into a fluffy fleece, a transparent chiffon and a high-gloss satin.
Almost any garment can be made from polyester. The rich variety of different fabrics is good for formal wear, casual wear, women's fashion, children's fashion, sportswear, lining fabrics, waterproof fabrics and more.
